House painting
House painting in Morena: dust, heat and boundary walls
What homes in Morena deal with
Morena sits between Gwalior and the Chambal river, with farmland, mustard fields and ravines around many towns. Summers are as hot as Gwalior’s, and dry winds carry dust onto walls for months before the rains. Many houses have a large plot with a boundary wall, a cattle shed or a store room, so the total wall area is bigger than the house alone.
Match the product to each wall
| Wall | Suggested type |
|---|---|
| Front facade of the house | Dust-resistant exterior emulsion |
| Side and rear walls | Economy exterior emulsion such as Walmasta |
| Boundary wall, sheds, stores | Cement paint or economy exterior emulsion |
| Rooms inside | Bison or Rangoli range emulsion |
| Gate and grills | Metal primer and Luxol enamel |
Cement paint, used the right way
Cement paint is cheaper on large areas and works well on rough plaster and brick. It is a powder mixed with water, so mixing and curing matter: the painter should mix only what can be used in a few hours and keep the wall moist as the instructions say. For a house front that you want to stay smart for years, an exterior emulsion is the better choice.
Buying in Morena district
Banmore, with its industrial area, also has factory buildings and godowns that need enamel on metal and economy exterior paint on long walls. Whether it is a home in Morena town or a building in Banmore, call us and we will tell you which Berger dealer near you has the stock, or arrange supply from Gwalior.
Before the painter starts: a short checklist
- Fix leaks and damp first; paint will not stop water coming through a wall
- Scrape loose and flaking paint; sand glossy patches so the new coat grips
- Fill cracks, then prime repaired spots and any bare plaster
- Use putty only where the wall is uneven, and sand it smooth
- Cover floors and furniture; remove switch plates and fittings
- Note the shade code of every tin, so a later top-up matches
Questions to ask your painter before work starts
- Which walls need scraping, primer or putty, and which do not?
- How many coats of each product are included in the price?
- Who supplies material, and will you show me the sealed tins and shade codes?
- How will furniture, floors and fittings be protected?
- How many days will the job take, and how long between coats?
